Please excuse us, Custom Fit Stairs is still under construction

Hello, my name is Joe Miller, and I am the owner and operator of Custom Fit Stairs. I’m a master carpenter by trade but turned my attention to stairs over 20 years ago. Curved stairs used to be my specialty but now I’ve centered my attention on building straight stairs and restoring and revitalizing staircases of all types and sizes.

The above curve stair is a upgraded stairs. it was 20+ years old when I was asked to rebuild it with Brazilian Cherry treads and rails, with solid brass pickets and post. No other stair company’s would do the work. And 2 of the largest in NC told the home owner they couldn’t do it but if it could be done than me and my company would be the only one the would recommend. It was a awesome job and although somewhat complicated I enjoyed ever bit of it. She was 1 happy home owner.

I’ve heard people describe me as an artist, with wood being my canvas, and stairs being my masterpiece. In reality, I’m just a regular guy that loves his work. I love building and creating and give mine all into every piece I’ve ever built. My dedication to perfection and high quality is shown in every staircase my name has ever been associated with. Stairs are the least expensive upgrade you can do to your home, and it would be my honor to modernize your stairs and make you love your home even more than you already do.

The below set was built for Mark Davis, A custom home builder in the Raleigh and Wakeforest area. This set was built in Wakefield. It is American Cherry with paint grade risers and skirt boards and custom pickets. I pay attention to every detail because, at the end of the job, I intend to be as close as a human can get to perfection.
